xplane connection problem
xplane connection problem
I'm having trouble getting any android gauge to work with xplane. In the settings I have tried both the ip address of the computer running xplane and connect automatically.. both tablet and pc are on the same network but still no connection. The most recent plugin is also installed on the pc side. Any ideas for figuring out what's not right? maybe an xplane setting isn't correct?

Re: xplane connection problem
HELP HELP !!
After upgrading to last version of plugin (2.6) for x-plane 11 for linux and android app (3.5), missing simulator reconnection after wifi reconnection issue still persist.
My tablets are Android 5.0.1 with wifi 2.5. and clean channel, but if signal is lost for 1 second APP correctly disconect from simulator, then when connection is restablished, app doesen't reconnect to simulator.
I've noticed another thing: automatic connection doesn't work: it isn't be able to find simulator, otherwise if i speciry ip address and simulator, it find PC and connect to it message is "Connect to Unknown 192.168.....".
EDIT:
Maybe I understood, a suggestion gave me the connection message:
"connected to UNKNOWN ...."
Could it be that not recognizing the type of simulator, it has problems maintaining the connection?
On iPad 2 (app. Ver. 3.4) it recognizes X-Plane and the automatic connection works like a charm
I think that solving "automatic connection" issue, other issue could be solved.

Re: xplane connection problem
Hi,
Weird issue. I'll do some testing on my own next week to see if I can reproduce it.
Thanks for posting. I'll let you know when I find (or don't find) anything.

Thank you Corjan.
If you will need more information about my environment to reproduce & solve this issue I'll be very glad to help you.

Re: xplane connection problem
Hi,
Currently working on this issue.
The unknown is bug where the correct text is not being displayed. It does not have any influence on the actual connection with the flight sim. Will be fixed off course .
I also noticed that the flight sim setting does not seem to do anything. It also defaults back to X-plane after changing it.
In short, I'm working on it, but need some more time,

Re: xplane connection problem
Hi,
I have pushed a new alpha version for AM on android.
Not sure if you are part of the external testers. Could you send me your email address coupled to your Google account?

Re: xplane connection problem
@Corjan:
Installed alpha version:
- message ofUNKNOWN it's ok, now it say "X-Plane"
- automatic connection doesen't work (like before).; when I switch from manual to automatic it disconnects from simulator and it's not be able to find and re-connect.
- in manual mode after a while it disconnects (probably by bandwidth degradation) and it not be able to reconnect.
waiting for next alpha update
