No, you'll have to rotate the screen output from the Pi.

Ralph,

I haven't tried it yet but can you telnet or ssh into the running OS when running a panel on the Raspberry PI?

I also am sitting with a 8 inch monitor that is rotated in Portrait and I need the PI to rotate it 90 degrees.

Yep everything is stock, except for Air Player being pre-installed.

Thanks Ralph. I followed the steps and now my screen connected to the Raspberry PI is in Portrait mode.
