I don't really understand your script... And why not use sim/electrical/battery_1_toggle instead of a very complicated way? :)

Yeah sorry about that, like I said cobbled together (with no though or plan).
I was experimenting to see if the dataref subscription got data as soon as the instrument started and reflect that status on the text onscreen (because i can't get console messages from the pi) which it does.
At the same time i am playing with Arduino's and Raspberry Pi's etc with rotary encoders etc.

I didn't find the time to test the print today, I will give it another shot on Wednesday. Or maybe I can get my Pi 4 running at home.

No worries @Ralph and thanks for looking at it. There is no rush as I can work around it.
The more I delve into the capability of air manager and airplayer the more I love it.
