Hi,
I'm using RPi with the latest Air Player 3.4.
Quite frequently (1-3 in an hour) getting the exact 6 seconds signal drop outs (red crosses) on my Eclipse 550 panel.
The previous versions were stable.
Any idea what's going wrong?
How to diagnose it?
Regards
Arti
Frequent 6 seconds signal dropouts (red crosses)
Re: Frequent 6 seconds signal dropouts (red crosses)
We've seen data dropping in X-Plane in the latest version. We had a radio which gave a different frequency once in a while, I saw this with other datarefs as well. But the strange thing is that we see the same with the dataref tool, so it isn't Air Manager related. Could be that this is the same issue. Hard to find out, other than staring at the dataref viewer the whole time I'm also not sure what the Eclipse panel uses, bus volts, battery switch, ...

Also a good test would be to have the same instrument running on the desktop and see if it does exactly the same.

Re: Frequent 6 seconds signal dropouts (red crosses)
Hi Ralph,
I'm using old trusted XP 11.20 but just compared to the latest 11.30.
The issue has persisted on the newest version, still 6s drop outs (red crosses) so it's not the simulator itself.
Help me to track the problem please.

Arti
p.s. Regarding the desktop instrument version check: unfortunately I cannot run the instruments on the desktop.
About the year ago the your tech support told me the software has compatibility problems with my Asus 1080ti...

You can try the 3.5 beta: https://siminnovations.com/wiki/index.p ... sktop_BETA
Did you try if Air Manager (3.4) works in the meantime?

In theory, the 1080ti should work fine.
From AM 3.5, we have better compatibility with available video cards on windows.

Yes in theory 1080ti works but I remember year ago very long SimInnovation teamspeak session which unfortunately ended without success.
Yesterday I've checked 3.4 and the desktop didn't want to show the gauges (I have 4 monitor system).
Ok I'll check 3.5beta right away and will keep you informed.
Of courcs the most important thing is to restore continous RPi gauge display.

Re: Frequent 6 seconds signal dropouts (red crosses)
I've updated Air Manager to 3.5 beta but I cannot update the Air Player.
After Air Player activation is still says 'version mismatch' and shows only the RPi IP number...
Every time I launch the Air Manager the devices tab shows I need to activate the Air Player, than I activate it and than nothing happenes
Any hint?

p.s. I never had a problems udating Air Play before. In the meantime I'm going back to the 3.4

Did you download the beta for the Pi? https://siminnovations.com/wiki/index.p ... ry_Pi_BETA

OK i'll download the beta for the Pi. (I never did this before upgrading).
Re: Frequent 6 seconds signal dropouts (red crosses)
I've upgraded to the latest beta 3.4 with the link but it still says version mismatch, can't activate the Air Player with 3.5beta.
Should the Air Player 3.5 beta work fine with the Air Manager 3.4 beta?
Oh I can see now Air Player 3.5 beta on your site... I'll try the new one
