Vertical Speed Indicator C172 has no arrow on AP Pi

#1 Post by RuMarSiEs »

Hi there,

If this message is in the wrong topic, it can be replaced to 'Bug reports' if that is better.

I am new to this forum, since I decided to use Air Manager and Air Player Pi for my Cessna 172 home cockpit.

First I had my panel running on AM 3.4 on the same PC as where X-Plane 11 runs on. Because I wanted only 1 PC for my cockpit. The plugin I use is version 2.3

But after a lot of trying and problems with monitors (4 a 5 pcs, 1 x for the scenery, 1 or 2 x for the panels, 1 x 7" for the GNS530 GPS and 1 as 'workstation') who changed every time from number, so it was a surprise on witch one XP would shown, I decided to use AP Pi to show my panels.

On Air Manager on my PC earlyer, all gauges works fine, but now on Air Player Pi, my Vertical Speed Indicator misses his arrow...

Is this a known problem? And more important, is there a solution?

The instrument I used are all from the Free community instruments for the C172.
But it also happen with the C172 (left) premade panel.

Thank you for your reply

If all your applications are updated to 3.4, then you should be able to download the log from the Devices tab. That might give some useful information.

The problem was that in the script the needle was added as VSIneedle.png and the filename is vsineedle.png. On Windows this is no problem, but on the Raspberry Pi (Linux) this causes a problem. I've made an update to the script.

Can Corjan have AM report an error if the case is incorrect like this. It should stop this from happening again with other instruments.

It was giving an error on the Pi, which you could see in the log. I'm not sure if it possible to do a upper/lower case check... But it happens so little that I don't think that it is a real problem.
