3.5 Inch SPI Display for Rpi Airplayer

Hi

I have purchased airplayer for raspberry pi and it is working perfectly with my RPI 2 B+with the 7inch display (DSI Interface)

I am planning to use the RPI with 3.5 inch display so that i can use them as an alternative for Saitek FIP

Please let me know whether the image will support display hooked up in the SPI interface mode??

I'm afraid that we cannot make any promises. Maybe Corjan has some thoughts on this. I think it'll work, but it's a bit of a guess.

Thanks for your reply, i can understand and no promise is expected, i just want to know whether somebody has played around before

Anyway i have ordered one of those displays, let me play around and post updates

We've used them before, it worked fine, although the quality of the display wasn't so good. Depends on the brand you buy of course But it's a bit dangerous to say that it works with every display, you never know with these things... Please keep us updated!

I have purchased the display and i am able to install the display drivers through terminal window

But the boot is getting stuck as per the attached image

I don't know how to proceed, suggestions are welcome

This is the exact same issue I am having. Trying to load the touch screen driver. At this stage I am told it is not possible.

Corjan is going to look at it one day.
