I just purchased Air Manager desktop and Air Player Raspberry Pi. Judging from the guides it seems to be a straightforward installation.
I have flashed the RPI3 with the image and registered both software.
When looking at the Desktop the RPI is showing, and seems to work for a minute or so, but then the RPI disappears and say "disconnected". If i powercycle the RPI its the same, i can see the RPI for a minute, then it disconnects.
I am on a local switched network in the same IP segment. Windows firewall has been disabled.
If i press a key on the RPI it goes to command line, and shows a line saying "Logic.lua: attempt to perform arithmetic on a string value (local 'panel_width').
Thats all i got to go on.
Any help is highly appreciated. Thanks.
Raspberry PI disconnect
Re: Raspberry PI disconnect
Hi Azlan and welcome to the forums.
I don't think too many here use the Pi as it is fairly specialist kit, however, that doesn't mean that the support will not be forthcoming as someone may well be able to help. Unfortunately, at the moment, the 2 top guys who run Sim Innovations, Ralph and Corjan, are on a well deserved holiday for a couple of weeks. Hopefully there may be someone else who can help in the mean time, but if not then I am sure you will get a response once they get back.
Joe.

Hi Azlan
What panel have you got connected to the pi and what resolution is it? Have you deployed a panel to it yet?
From what the error message you are getting i'm guessing its having trouble with a panel size.
Cheers Hugh

Ok, to me the RPI is the smart thing in this solution (maybe I didn't see it all yet!). Being able to release the main sim PC from display hardware and distribute it to low-cost units as RPI's. Much cheaper than a PC alternative.
Re: Raspberry PI disconnect
Hey Hugh,
It's the Zibo upper panel. The issue happened after I deployed the panel. And now it disconnects before I can go into settings.
I will re-install the RPI and redo the process.
Re: Raspberry PI disconnect
It looks like a Lua issue in the panel script. We can check when we're back from holiday. What is the resolution of the screen you are using?
Re: Raspberry PI disconnect
RE-imaging the RPI made it connect properly again.
On to the next step, I don't see the panel on the attached screen.
Air Manager and Air Player RPI seem to be connecting properly, as after I install a panel and click "Show" I am able to set background color and display the FPS. So data is send to RPI.
But the panel itself is not displayed on the screen.

Re: Raspberry PI disconnect
Sounds like you did not activate the license of the Pi.
