Collins Altimeter for the Beech 200

#1 Post by JackZ »

As usual, this gauge is completely drawn based on photographs of the real instrument.
A work in progress, awaiting the user manual to complete some functions such as test behaviour since this is an electrical gauge.

Based on the brilliant work from JL Perrot.

BTW if ever Jean Luc is reading this, I have some questions about some parts of your code, where you do some complex calculations to determine the altitude to be displayed.
What is the real purpose of this, since displayed altitude is drivern by FSX/XPlane?

Hi Jacques,
I don't remember...it's a bit old ;) Perhaps I've reinvented the wheel ! I wouldn't be surprised :D
I'll have a look at this script later, when I'll have some free time.

Effectively, I don't understand what I've done...
I think I had idea to correct altitude with pressures, but the dataref give directly correct altitude, so doesn't need all these !
I'll modify it and send it on the store.
Thanks to have discover this bug.
PS: Had you some time to test the ATR's overhead ?

Hi Jean-Luc
, good to hear that, was puzzled by those formulas, which are probably more accurate than the sim's calculations themselves!

As per your OVH test, sorry not yet, as I was pretty busy lately with my ATPL theory and exams, and now that I'm finished with this, with the CPL/IR training.
I have to migrate to XPlane as well!
