Keith,

The timer is ok but you are not resetting the opacity. In the knob rotation function reset the opacity for the menu to its full on value and the opacity for the EIS gauge to its minimum value. This will bring the menu to full focus whenever the knob is moved and will then begin the fade after that when required.

Thank you Tony,

I will give that a try.

Oops I missed something silly with your timer. The opacity thing is still required but it didn't work without some small tweeks with your timer. I'll pm you.

Thank you Tony.

Works perfectly now.
Yes I now understand where I was going wrong.

Hi,

Moving to the CONFIGURATION....,

The trick here is activate the Configuration with an inner button press within the startup timer.

.

.
After accept we go through a few options.
@jph the instrument type

.
The configuration of the instrument

,
In EIS MODE....
The instrument auto-detects the AirFrame and author to supply instrument parameters etc or can be custom configured.
For this a .json fiile will be used for the correct datarefs and instrument perimeters.
Custom configs will be via persist.

Oh my bad. The "back","Up" & "Dn" buttons missing in the images. ;) ;)

Hello Keith,

I own a Cessna 182 and I am about to install two GI 275s to replace the vacuum steam gauges. I am also a programmer and have built a flight simulator that matches my current panel. I am instrument rated and I use it alot to shoot approaches and other IFR stuff.

I am wondering how you are coming with this project. I am happy to help out too. Like I said, I am also a software developer. I am releasing a new app for phones and tablets called xAttitude. https://xattitude.app/

Anyway, just wondering...

Best!

Ron

Hi Ron,

Welcome to the forum. Jacques @JackZ was doing some work with this so I handed over what I had done to him to dev further. We will have to check with him on the progress.
