Question abt. ZIBO mod 737-800 Overhead panel

#1 Post by Avenger »

I have a question about the premium Zibo mod 737-800 overhead panel. I read in the synopsis that it has two modes, one for preferably a large 42” touch panel so it can be lifelike in a cockpit setup. The second mode is a horizontal mode where you can scroll. My question is if a 10” touchscreen display large enough for the horizontal mode? Or do I need something larger? Thanks!

10 inch is very small for this purpose. You might be able to just see what's displayed, but you won't be able to control anything. Around 20 inch would be the minimum in my opinion.

Would I be able to use a mouse to adjust the controls or is it even too small for that on a 10” screen? I have two extra 13” panels but I am using them for Russ’s new Zibo 737-800 Mod left and right front panels. This size is good for the front panels but I understand that the overhead panel is much larger. Russ did a great job on these panels,

I have never tried it on such a small display, so I don't know for sure. Maybe you can use a screenshot of the panel and place it on the monitor so you get a rough idea.

Yeah I’ll take a look. My desk isn’t too large so I don’t have more room than for the additional two 13” touch panels. And those seem to go well with Russ’s Zibo front panels. I have a TV on the right side of my room so maybe I can string a hdmi cable to it. But it is a little out of the way. But you probably don’t use the controls on it too often. I know the overhead panel was probably made with a large screen monitor mounted overhead in a cockpit setup in mind.
