Hi,

The only helo with G1000 that I know of is the Vskylabs R66.
But Vskylabs have just added it. The R66 does not have a G1000.

The Bell's that have G1000 are the 407 and the 505.
I don,t know of others.

The DreamFoil 407 also does not have a G1000. So there are many things that had to be added Like the fuel system for weight and balance etc

No I wasn’t confused about which model I was talking about, I was simply wrong in remembering a Bell 412 factory G1000 option. I was aware of the 407 and 505 having G1000s (optional and standard, respectively).

It should be a Garmin TXi. Vskylabs have cheated there and used the built in LR G1000 PFD. It’s not true to the real life model.

Tony,

Correct. That is why you do not see the R66 Air-Frame in my library. I want to keep this instrument as close to the real world as possible.
Once I start adding stuff that is not available in the real world, short cuts will start creep in all over the place.

Lets take the King Air B200 for example. All the B200 variants available for X-Plane use the LR G58. This is also only half baked as the G58 has a "LEAN" page which the LR G1000 does not have. The B200 does not have a "LEAN" option and has only the GDU1550 (MFD) operated by a GDU477 keypad. and "TWO" GDU1040A (PDF).

So 3 G1000s on the B200 and 2 G1000's on the G58

The B58 uses the GDU1035 (10.4") Display or the GDU1045 (10.4") Display with autopilot/flight director mode for VNAV.

The B200 uses the GDU1550 (15") Display (MFD) and two GDU1040A (10.4") (PDF)

So a lot of thought and care has gone into this instrument along it journey making sure of authenticity.

I am now on version 8 and not finished ALL the Airframes yet.

EDIT: I am using "STANDARD" darterrefs (Not the G1000) so that a Air-Frame does not have to have the LR G1000 installed for it to work.

Hi,

I am finding a lot of different options available, especialy on newer G1000 variants.

Take the piper P46 for example. Pre 2015 there was not a EIS page. After 2015 a EIS page became available with a Pulse Oximeter. Now there are no datarefs for this.

BUT There is a MAX30100 and MAX30100 and we have an arduino

Any advice before a dig into this and make it an option. I can get values out of this device???? @Sling @Ralph @Corjan

Keith, what’s the point unless you are sitting in an altitude chamber.

One to skip I think.

Hi Keith,
Hope you are well ?

Regarding pulse oximetry - basically forget it. Oximetry needs a a dedicated specific light spectrum sensitive device placed onto a patient - onto a pass through area of blood vessel activity - usually a finger (it can be earlobe - or toe etc - but - it all depends on what you have, and the age of the patient etc..... ....... ;) )

It would only be used - in an aircraft - for a hypoxia warning. !

As a user on a flight sim would - hopefully - :o :) be reading a reasonably constant level it would be absolutely pointless, and of course, you would need to have the interface....

However, It IS useful as a COVID 02 low Blood oxygen level saturation reading warning .... - but I think that is beyond the intent of the garmin.

(edit - or as tony hinted at - a hyperbaric chamber that is being varied with an altitude / cabin pressure data ref................ ) - a bit large and expensive for a home sim....

It is a dedicated medical device. ;) ignore that one lol...
