hi,
Im Arturo, from Spain
Im going to build my homecockpit for realair lancair (panel, two monitors behind, instruments, gtn 750 in touchpanel... and vm1000c!)
I didnt know how to display de vm1000c engine monitor. There is no software with this instrument, but finally I found Air manager. You need a panel, you build it
I didnt program anything in the last 20 years. Only program a little in the past, quick basic and a little C for MS Dos.
Not very easy to start, but opening some instruments and trying to understand Im making progress.
Here it is a youtube video of the actual state of the gauge.
Im trying to display some features from the real vm1000c that arent in the realair version.
(sorry for my poor english)
Arturo.

Awesome instrument. The test phase looks very cool.
Re: VM1000C engine monitor for realair Lancair v2
at 90% of work done..
Re: VM1000C engine monitor for realair Lancair v2
Wow, very nice.
Re: VM1000C engine monitor for realair Lancair v2
realy nice work. to you think you can share your work with me?

Beautiful engine cluster - any updates on your project? Thanks for your efforts!
Re: VM1000C engine monitor for realair Lancair v2
Hi,
It is finished. But only works with prepar3d and Realair Lancair. It uses custom offsets.
I cant find the "total engine time running", to insert this value in display when gauge is switch off, like the real one. I think this is a standard offset. Can someone help me to find it?
With some mods it can work in prepar3d with standard offsets. But I have no time at the moment (working in real gauges/arduino now..).
If someone want to test/use it, I have no problem in share.

Re: VM1000C engine monitor for realair Lancair v2
I have found the "engine running" offset.
So, now when you switch off the battery, the total number of "engine running hours" is shown in the display. Like the real one.
The script is not very clear.
It has been the first thing I program in years.,
But I will try to arrange it a little to upload.
I have use custom realair offsets so only works with realair lancair.

Will be very happy if you share this gauge with me. I use p3d v3 and realair lancair is one of my favorite airplane. My mail is ekaftakis@gmail.com. Thank you
