This is my early work in progress Cessna cockpit. I use air manager to run all the instruments on three iPad's. Works great! I'm looking for an old iPad mini to run the engine and fuel instruments.
Still a lot of work to do.
- add second yoke
- new roof
- add ipad mini
- calibrate screens
- add details to panel such as screws, text etc
- improve sound
- resize gps panel
- reposition seat, it's too low now
- add instruments
- add trim wheel
- etc etc
But as you can see it already flies. This was a test flight over my hometown maastricht, in the netherlands. If you look closely you can even see the house off maastrichts most famous inhabitant, Andre Rieu

Re: Cessna home cockpit using air manager for ipad
Hi,
nice idea - great cockpit. So you probably use iPad Airs? One horizontally and two on the right vertically?
One question: How do you switch on and off - or better unlock/lock your ipads when the hardware buttons are noch accessible?
Would be nice if you share a picture without panel to see how you have the ipads mounted.
Regards, Alfred

Re: Cessna home cockpit using air manager for ipad
Hi Alfred
I use three ipads, they are ipad2's. One horizontal and two vertical. The right vertical is for the radios, the other are for the instruments. The left one is placed infront of the middle one.
I use the default ipad assistive touch option to unlock the ipads. So I don't need the home button.

Very cool sim. I did have a bit of trouble seeing the main panel gauges as they were dim.... is it the angle of the camera? Beautiful job on your build,
BTW, as a RL pilot it was tough seeing you land short of the runway threshold. The | ->->->->| area is usable only for taxi and takeoff
Just Kidding, it didn't bother me that much... nice video.

Thanks Russ,
I'm still learning to fly, so I make a lot of mistakes. So thanks for your help, I really appreciate it. your explanation makes me a better virtual pilot.
My panel has changed, I now have an additional monitor running airmanager. It is still very wip, but now it looks like this:

I let the AI fly

Re: Cessna home cockpit using air manager for ipad
Some gauges seem like they don't work? Like the heading, fuel, etc.... Any clue on that?
Re: Cessna home cockpit using air manager for ipad
I too was interested to see you flying at zero airspeed...quite a feat ...but the setup looks beautiful...nice job.

Good spot! I forgot to start running Airmanager on the iPads. Thats why it doesnt work. Also, I noticed that I dont have the vertical speed indicator and that I have two turn indicators.
Re: Cessna home cockpit using air manager for ipad
Keeps you busy But anyway, the whole setup looks very nice.
