Portable cart for 4 monitor system?

#1 Post by gregr75 »

So 3 27” monitors running xplane and the 4th 23” monitor running air manager. In addition to my keyboard and mouse I have a CH yoke, Garmin gps and homemade Knobster. I am running out of room on my IKEA table (see pic)

and I am trying to find a cart on wheels where I can put the 3 monitors on top, the air manager monitor at a different (adjustable) level and a keyboard tray at another level to keep it out of the way.

Again some kind of cart on wheels where I can move the whole flight Sim set up from room to room. Like in a flight school environment . Any off-the-shelf solutions?

Depends on where you live. I would look for some rolling desk solution. You can buy them at Amazon for example.

An adjustable rolling desk as Ralph suggested is a good start. Ikea also do some solutions like that. You can mix and match tops with legs. You will likely need some kind of attached monitor arms.

Alternatively you could start with the monitors and work around them with something like these.

Or you can also build your own cart, by adding sturdy wheels to this kind of DIY build:

This guy is well known in the market, and with some renforcements due to the wheels, you will probably end up with a nice setup: https://roger-dodger-aviation-build-a- ... flight-sim
