X-Plane 11.5 major update
How does this affect us??
@Corjan some feed back please.
Should we make a backup just in case or is AM up to speed with the new features?

Hi,
In theory this should not effect anything AM related.
Plugins should stay backwards compatible.
If that is actually so has to be tested.

Hi,
AM just sets/get datarefs and commands, that has nothing to do with the rendering part of X-plane.

Please test and advise. Thanks
LR says like this:
Not all add-ons are compatible with Vulkan and Metal. In particular, when Vulkan and Metal are enabled, 3-d drawing callbacks and map drawing callbacks are not sent to plugins. If an add-on appears to not work correctly, you can disable Vulkan and Metal and restart X-Plane.

Re: X-Plane 11.5 major update
I'm with Corjan. The AM plugin doesn't do any drawing it simply communicates with an external application over IP. So its very likely to be un-affected.
For what its worth I will not be updating my xplane until most of the current shortfalls are addressed and i know from others that its stable. There are some popular plugins in the list of ones with known issues so many of those who like to use those plugins will probably be doing the same.
It should be tested though and I'm sure the guys will do that before 3.7 is released.

Re: X-Plane 11.5 major update
As suspected, because this is purely an update on rendering, it has no effect on our plugin.
I was a bit sceptical, but my all-in-one crappy desktop PC went from 26 FPS (2560x1440 Radeon RX550) to approximately 45 FPS, it fluctuates a bit between 40 and 50 FPS. So that's a more than a 70% increase of frames

Yes peeps are raving about the frame rates.
Seems like there is a lot to be had by using Vulkan. Am should consider vulkan for AM4. then I can have many displays running of arduino lol lol

Hi,
With AM 4.0, we will switch rendering library and we will also have Vulkan support.

You just convinced me to buy it. Was going to give it a skip without the nav features.
Will it work on RPi?
