Copy / paste images

#1 Post by Ralph »

You can now copy and paste images from internet. Simply copy the image in your browser and hit CTRL + V in your message. You still have to place it in your message, it will not show up like in a WYSIWYG editor.
I'm not sure if there are any hands up for a WYSIWYG editor, it might start to look a bit messy?

Nice @Ralph many thanks
I've noticed this and also that the images browsing or drag & drop now include also the link into the post automatically
it's ok for now, at least we can trigger the preview for the WYSIWIG part

I’m not sure if this will help reduce the number of images posted. It might even make it worse because it’s now even easier. I just wish pictures were only used where necessary. As it makes the posts really big and clutters the threads. Sometimes pictures are required to illustrate a point but they are used way too much IMHO.

And pictures are mostly useful and better than thousand words for many people too
so both situations can be discussed ;-)

I stick by what I said previously. I agree they can prove useful as can video sometimes too, but my point being they are not a replacement for taking the time to articulate ones point, question or answer.

Hello @Ralph

I've found that clicking in the post area in the specific location we want, prior to paste the image (CTRL+V)
then the image will be paste correctly in the proper location

@Ralph

Not copy and paste related but I did not want to bother about another thread.

Can we please have a color notification when a mentioned member reads a post. This saves on frustration on whether someone has read the post of if they just need reminding to do so or has put you on the ignore list for a non response :lol: .

Something along these lines would be awesome

@Ralph when it is not read and @Ralph when it has been read.

That would have to be in the mention system, but it isn't, so sorry, no...
