That same guy is back at it again! Is there some way for admins to ban users?

No unfortunately not. They operate from different IP addresses each time. You can ban on username, but then they'll just use a different name.

Hi Ralp,
perhaps it is time to use a sandbox area for ANY new user to post. This has to be reviewed by a moderator before the post is publicly seen.

I honestly think that the discord server could be the way to go moving forward.

If Discord becomes the main thing, then you can be sure there will be spam too in the future.

I can also honestly say that I believe you are 100% wrong in that for this kind of help and general forum - the 'discord' etc would NEVER be the answer. It is a for a very niche user base and usage.
Don't try fix something that isn't broken. ! - spam is spam, it will appear everywhere. It is certainly targeted at BBS systems - at the moment - but is not really an issue. It can and will be targeted at whatever platform was used.
Joe. ;)

abso-fecking-lutely ;) ;)
I can assure you it will never become the 'main thing'. In the same way that faeces-book, TWATTER or similar will also never become SERIOUS support platforms for s, very specialised areas. - and anybody at all concerned re security would never be using those platforms at all......... but, that is another story and will be the downfall - or pre-determined future of generation X. :o
THE next big thing on the 'empty net' is personal privacy as far as personal information manipulation is used. There are moves to provide the user with an income from their personal info... IF they want to share. Although it IS difficult to limit that, it is the way forward.

Hi @Ralph, just a suggestion and not sure it's available on phpBB, though could we add a visual tag near to the user pseudo, which would mentioned if it's a "verified" Sim Innovations Customer or rather a Troll/Spammer who will get a red flag or nothing at all at least ? This could provide to any single simmer here the sense of the posted intention ?!
