Here is a video of my King Air 200 Simulator.
I started building in Sept 2018 (about 2.5 years ago).
Software is FSX, link2fs, and AirManager.
2 Arduino Megas, 13 Arduino Unos, 11 I/O expansion boards. Over 400 feet of hookup wire in the build.
Enjoy.

Re: My King Air 200 DIY Simulator
Kudos to you sir. You have done a fantastic job. Glad to see some neat wiring bundles for a change. It’s obviously been a labour of love.
Now it’s time to enjoy the flying for a while before you jump into a sim change.
Thanks for sharing.

Re: My King Air 200 DIY Simulator
I agree, very neat wiring. Also great job on all the small details like the lighting posts, the real ones are freakishly expensive (~$60).
Re: My King Air 200 DIY Simulator
Hi Ralph, what do you mean by 'lighting posts' ?

They go by various names it seems. But like these: https://www.aircraftspruce.com/pages/el ... htings.php
Re: My King Air 200 DIY Simulator
These are a bit cheaper but probably aimed at experimental. Tend not to be used much these days in new designs.

Very nice work, and a lot of creativity on 3D printing.

Re: My King Air 200 DIY Simulator
Ah. ok. I know what you mean. I used to know them as 'pea lights'. - probably slang... but there are various types including ring illumination etc.Ralph wrote: ↑Thu May 06, 2021 2:20 pm They go by various names it seems. But like these: https://www.aircraftspruce.com/pages/el ... htings.php
They would be fairly easy to make for next to nothing. I also seem to remember that in a lot of cases they were used with the old radio active 'luminous' type displays as well. but can be used with any instrument. Most of my age remember getting toy 'skeletons' that glowed in the dark haha.... just dont put them near a Geiger counter.
Thanks for the 'translation'
