Alpha background not invisible

I have created graphics with skinman. Export to .png with alpha channel. The background is invisible in windows image viewer. Running the gauge from Air Manager shows the background as white. Am I doing something wrong?

In the create / edit tab the background is always white. When you launch it from the instrument tab then it'll be transparent.

Of course you're right here, too! I've been working in the create/edit tab all the time so I didn't see that. Thank you.

Can be a bit confusing. But it has to got a background, or else you won't see anything when you don't add an image or when you only have text you'll hardly notice the instrument if the font is small. I understand it looks a bit weird.
