MSFS 2020 - OAT Buttons

#1 Post by oscarDelta77 »

Hi,

I can't figure out how to get the selected function for a button.
I can manage all needed values, excepted those affected to buttons.

Eg : If i click on Select, how to know from FS2020 if it's UT,LT,FT or ET ?
I can't find such info in variables or commands.

Regards,
oliver.

I'm not really sure what you mean, but did you have a look at the generic OAT / Clock? There are no events available for this in FS2020 as far as I know, so it all will have to be done in the instrument script.

Yes I did.

What I wanted to do : any action on MSFS OAT is reported on AM OAT, and "vice-versa".

However, it seems to be impossible to know which display is selected (Eg : Volts, Temp °c, Temp F°) to show the same in AM and MSFS.

There's no available variable for it as far as I know. It probably exists, but many variables (and events) aren't listed.

If SDK is incomplete, and variables (and events) not all listed, it's difficult to create some addons ...

I will try with FSUIPC (or linda) : i think ther is a way to "sniff" vars ....

There was in FSX and Prepar3D, but not in F2020.
Their plugin system still isn't finished, as are a lot of other things. You have to realize that with FS2020 you paid to be a beta tester :)

You mean a bit like this. The answer is to ditch FS2020 and get yourself xplane. When it comes to aircraft systems and flight model it runs rings around any and all of the other sims.

FS2020 ? -- give it 10 years or until it is no longer supported.... It is a game, not a sim... No need to 'X-Plane' further me thinks .............................. ;)
