** FIXED**Why do I have to select the knobster everytime

#1 Post by brlowe »

I searched and could not find the answer and maybe this is just a 4.0 beta issue.
I have now 2 knobsters, 1 real purchased one and 1 DIY.
On my panel I have to scroll down and tell it to use the knobster each time I load in air manager.
Is there a way to have it save that setting and keep the knobster selected?

It's an old beta bug. You'll have to remove your configuration. Remove the Air Manager BETA folder in C:/users/your username/

There is a lot of stuff in that folder. What will I lose when I remove that folder and how do I get it back? I have created a few instruments and a couple of complete panel layouts I do not want to lose.

You should be okay if you only remove the config.sqlite3
But you'll loose your panel layouts. That's the downside of using beta's I'm afraid.

All panels and instruments can be backed up to a siff file prior to ditching anything in that folder tree. Once back up and running just import the siff files to regain all your instruments and panels.

That's true. You can export your panels and then import them again. Or very basic: write down the coordinates and sizes.

Just an update on this. I did end up uninstalling Air Manager and deleting all folders after making backups of the stuff I have worked on. Did a new install and now the knobster selection holds so I do not have to select it each time.
