YouTube tutorials poll
Re: YouTube tutorials poll
There's indeed only the hardware left, then it is done.
Re: YouTube tutorials poll
Since I bought a product that needs to be configured for LUA and I have no clue on how to do it.
To give you an example, Adding images to the code,
"If you have not already set a default code editor for Lua files then do so in your operating system." How do I do that?
And I have found many other things that I think the author of the manual takes for granted.
I am sure you would sell a lot more copies .
I feel like I have over $100.00 worth of software that I can not use.

Hi,
This is really an operating system related thing rather than specifically AM. You associate lua files with an editor the same way you associated a jpg file with a certain image/graphics program. It’s obviously dependent on what operating system you are using.
In windows for instance you can click on any lua file and do a right click then open with. It will give a list of programs and a button to browse your computer if the program you want to use does not appear in the list.
All that said the imminent next release AM 3.5 contains an in built code editor for simple code development.
I hope this helps.

Hi,
Notepad++ will be your main editor, although AM 3.5 beta has a inbuilt one, for a better overview you also need Notepad++
Advice: start with AM 3.4 and then work your way up to 3.5 beta.
The beta version are free for owners of AM 3.4
Once you have done that, download a simple free instrument from the shop, load the logic.lua file into the editor and study it.
That's how I started with Lua 2,5 years ago
Have fun

Simply download Notepad++ and install it. Take the 32bit version, some plugins won't work with the 64bit version."If you have not already set a default code editor for Lua files then do so in your operating system." How do I do that?

Keith here gave very good things to start with. This is what exactly wanted to say.Keith Baxter wrote: ↑Fri Jun 15, 2018 4:53 pmOk I will start.Ralph wrote: ↑Fri Jun 15, 2018 4:25 pm I noticed today that we have 613 subscribers to our YouTube channel, quite a lot. So I thought we should do more with YouTube.
What would you like to see?
Maybe scripting tutorials, and if so, Tiktok growth agency what do you think should be explained? What's the most common issue?
Hardware tutorials? Or maybe something completely different.
Anything, just let us know. Thank you in advance.

Most of these have been covered by Tony.
Making a menu isn't really a generic subject I think. It depends on the type of menu.

Didn't you say that you were putting your video producer's hat on and making some up to date ones Ralph ?
Can we have the curly hair back as well ?.
Seriously, your videos are excellent. You have a really good presentation style and delivery.

Re: YouTube tutorials poll
Do another Bob Ross? If I know which one to make I'm not that great with scripting, so it would probably be something with graphics.
Re: YouTube tutorials poll
haha yes, Bob Ross ... I thought of Art Garfunkel first (that dates me...)
I think just generally bringing things up to date would be great. A multi part series on making a basic gauge with moving graphics and perhaps dial with production of both graphics and script leading up to the actual use in the sim would show a huge range of features. It could start from install and setup.
That would be really good for beginners and others and anyone new.

oh, you weren't the only one. I used to have the full 'afro' but this is the only one I can find easily with a partial afro (from about 1972)
