New User - IPad Questions

Hi, I am only interested in the iPad portion of the software.
Do you have to own both the iPad and desktop versions?
If so, is there another way to purchase the desktop version other than PayPal?

The ipad version works alone...desktop not needed. You just need to download the plugin installer for your sim to allow it to connect.

I downloaded the plugins listed here:

But when the iPad asks for an IPAddress I'm not sure which one to give it.
Is it my IPv4 address or what?
