User properties on iPad and Android
User properties on iPad and Android
Can user properties be accessed on the iPad or Android versions of AM. If so where do you make your choices.

Hello @Corjan
did you thought to enhance the iPad APP for it and already discussed of pros and cons with @Ralph together ?
as a reminder : highly awaited new enhancements from iPad users (not for me and definitely no plan for purchasing any)

It's certainly on our wish list. Now find some time...
Re: User properties on iPad and Android
It would limit the simplicity of the App but it also limits the number of instruments that can be supported. I guess this is why the new supported devices section was included. Anything with a user property shouldn’t really have the tablets ticked and not included in the App. I guess some might work but others like the adjustable Airspeed as an example is useless for the tablets. Something worth being aware of if specifically targeting for use on a tablet.

Hi,
Yeah, that is the annoying part. We would like to include user properties, but it makes the app more complicated.
For now, you can only have one instrument of each type in a panel, that whole idea should change if we where to support user properties.
Also, the tablets will always lag behind the desktop version of Air Manager in functionality. It is like a stepping stone to the real thing
It gets the job done for the casual simmer though.

Try to not forget this enhancement point for Android and iPad devices in the TODO list
would be a must have for all simmers and avoid devs to build some weird handling relying on specific targeted devices

Hi,
I also think user property should be accessible from the tablet app.
I'm using the tablet to display engine instruments for C172.
The problem is the EGT gauge has default max EGT set to 2000F which is too high
and makes the gauge always out of range for 172. It could be adjustable to around 1300.
Hopefully you deal with this in next update...

I think this made it to the iPad as well: there's an invisible dial on the right side of this instrument, which lets you adjust the maximum EGT value.
