Re: T-6A Texan II Radio Management Unit (RMU)

Well, apart the font that is obviously different, so far so good. What is your current problem exactly ATM? Are you sure that all the Dataref returned by XPlane are INT? Seems unusual to me, but I can't tell for sure, as I don't have the T6A addon and don't intend to have it, especially at the price...

Re: Help with TAS indication

Good work! Try the following: step=6*10 start_angle=0 function card_pos(knob_TAS) --print(knob_TAS) card_value=var_cap(knob_TAS,-1.0,1.0) rotate(tas_card, start_angle-(card_value*step)) --print(start_angle-(card_value*step)) end I figured that a start_angle of 0 was best suited than -27 in your case...

Re: Help with TAS indication

As per the dataref to use, you can check with Dataref Tool and see what dataref changes when the Airspeed Dial changes. laminar/c172/knob_TAS Apparently the expected value is a float that continuously varies from -1.0 to +1.0 by 0.01 increments. So based on Jason Tatum's C172 Airspeed indicator, thi...

Re: Help with TAS indication

Hi I understand your frustration, but most of your issues is basically because you didn’t follow the kind advices of Uncle Tony :) According to the wiki for dials functions: https://siminnovations.com/wiki/index.php?title=Dial_add The values sent by the dial_add to the callback function are as follo...

Re: Multiple subscriptions in a single function?

I would add that you could also check wether the BAT BUS is on, to take into account the MASTER is OFF, and in that case the light should not come on even when the test button is depressed. Moreover I think that the test_active variable should be declared first outside of the function itself, so the...

Re: MAX7219 list of available characters that can be displayed.

Corjan Any update on the new characters list available for the the MAX7219? I have at least one user on the French forum that told me he’s unable to display « Std » on his MAX7219 using the latest v4.02. Thought it was already implemented, along with an update of the Wiki of course. Thanks Jacques

Re: What must be redundant in A320 and B737 cockpit?

So to sum it up and take into account the single pilot cockpit configuration, for the A320 i would simply make sure that when pressed, the FD push button activates/deactivates both sides simultaneously (talking about an AM instrument of course). That way you wouldn’t have weird FMA displays such as ...

Re: What must be redundant in A320 and B737 cockpit?

Perfectly correct, even if IRL it is slightly more complicated than that. I will talk about the A320 that I fly for a living. - Flight directors are independent and are driven each by their FMGS side. The behavior is different when only one or both FDs are disengaged - LS only displays the Glide and...

Re: background image with transparent boxes

I will make a demo YT video tomorrow to show the whole process in Skinman. Should take less than 30 seconds I guess. Granted it’s 20 seconds more than Gimp or photoshop 8-) but with the ability to fine tune the shape that will serve as a hole, since the shape is vector based. And of course, Skinman ...
