Re: Flap hardware choice

Tony, thanks i agree but that is a long seach and retro engeneering, once you play with this tool. An other tool is the x-plane demo version. I use an old laptop with the demo version and i can work with the PC running airmanager with a lot of comfort.
And dont need to work on the sim it self.

Re: Wet Compass and Stepper Motor

HI, I have been playing with this (Wet Compass) in 3.7 not 4.0 but i know that there needs to be a zero point to calibrate, if im not mistaken. I would like to know if i can replace the button function, Ralph, with a reed sensor or a IR light sensor. I presume this would be the better solution for t...

Re: Flap hardware choice

Thank you both, i was not aware of the tool, this is really helpful to all new builders. Just in case somebody else is looking for it.

Re: Flap hardware choice

Ralph,

One small question, i have been looking at what dataref to use for the indicator of the flap position for a servo, can you point me to the right one. I have tried a whole bunch of them but no luck.

Flap hardware choice

HI, Just a question about the choice of hardware to build the Flap control for a Cessna. A: A potentiometer - advantage smooth transitions but lots of programming? B: Rotary 4 position switch c: Encoder Any hits what to use my preference would be the switch but the issue there is that the steps migh...

Re: DIY Arduino Slide Throttle Build Notes

OK, i did not know that "Commanded Prop Speed (per engine)" would set the pitch of the prop, as that is what the real live situation does.

Thanks

Re: DIY Arduino Slide Throttle Build Notes

I have made a similar 3d printed device setup, will share all (STL's and BOM) details when its finished. (Setup is for a full TPM + Plus choke pull on off). I have used 128mm linear Pods giving me a bit more points. My issue is i need to find the right data ref in X-plane, for the prop. I found the ...

Re: Park Brake in Air Manager & P3Dv5 with Arduino Mega

Yes and introducing a sim with no multi monitor support, no good interfase to external software, no outside gps support, no ... no... etc. Its really a shame. I have been moving all my stuff back to xplane. Although the view of MSF2020 is better unfortunatly i cant combine the x-plane model with the...

Re: Wet Compass and Stepper Motor

Ralph, can you also look at the zero point, including a Hall Effect sensor or a reed switch or a IR eye. Some thing in the code to make it stable. It needs to know the Zero point. With Mobi they have no zero but they resetit after the flight. its not nice but works. so we would need one of these sen...
