Nothing is a bit vague indeed. It often happens that the Air Player license is not activated and people look at a blank panel, because it won't load instruments. Also good to check in your case if the Air Player license is activated.

KnobFS and Air Manager should not be used together. You either use Air Manager or KnobFS.
KnobFS is for VR, Air Manager is for panels.

It's actually a double, but not that important. This can be done with % and string.format.

The dimensions of the panel do not matter, but normally you would have it fullscreen on one of your monitors. So the size of your monitor. You shouldn't bother with X, Y, width and height numbers. Of course they're not identical, or there wouldn't be two But the 'Garmin G1000 PFD-MFD Overlay' is the one you need. However, that does not matter a thing for the pop outs.
You do no longer need the pop out panel manager as far as I know, the pop out positions are stored by MSFS itself.
