Re: Rotary encoders and other with Raspberry Pi and Arduino Mega

This may be a dumb question: All I need to do to prepare a Raspberry Pi Pico for Airmanager is, start Airmanager and use it to transfer the needed standard program image into the Pico. And for that I have to press the Boot Select button on the Pico while connecting the USB cable of the Pico. Right?...

Re: Course Deviation line in 'dots'

JackZ, Why this tone. This is generally not like you. Surprised to say the least. I answered the question actually. Yes the trig method can be and is used was my answer. I offered the extra information as it just so happens I came across the animation problem recently. When I posted I was not at my ...

Re: Course Deviation line in 'dots'

Yep a bit of trig maths is how it’s done in a few instruments. Take a look at the store instruments to see exactly how it’s done. A word of caution though. If you plan to use the new animation features the trig method produces some weird cdi bar movements while in transition. I’ve recently come up w...

Re: Rotary encoders and other with Raspberry Pi and Arduino Mega

Hi Detlef, Generally I would say things will be fine whichever way you go but the proof is in the pudding as the saying goes. My initial thoughts. The Pico boards are cheap so pick one up and trial it if you have concerns to see how it performs. Some USB hubs can cause problems so unless someone can...

Re: Does switch_add have a size limit

2 things to check. Did you adjust the instrument size to compensate for the larger images. I suspect the parking brake you are basing this on is quite small. These can be adjusted by clicking the Info button along the top ribbon. Are both the images the same size 208 width by 778 height. If one of t...

Re: Airmanager and LCD1602

Fermin, Your code looks ok as a first up test to see how it works. What did you do with R/W for the AM test. If you left it disconnected this is why nothing is working. It needs to connect from the LCD to ground (write). I also assume you have any other connections such as power, brightness control ...

Re: MSFS Instrument and Panel Help

That are good news. - In connection with this, also a “launch date filter” would be very useful. To quickly find new items and updates. - Or a forum directory for his? The current directory “Under development and finished work” Instrument Building Support may be good for Discussion, but is a little...

Re: Multiple subscriptions in a single function?

Just a small point. The test_active variable will be global regardless of where it’s located because it doesn’t use the local declaration.

Re: Multiple subscriptions in a single function?

HI Warbirdguy1, Are you still playing with that ALT light. What you want is quite simple really. Here is one way. There are others. Tony output_WarnLtsTest = hw_led_add("0 WarnLtsTest",0) led_is_alt1charging = hw_led_add("WL Generator 1 WARN",0) function switch_gen1_callback(position) --------...
