Re: AM 4.1

On a sour note. The panel ordering bug is back. How i produced this. In the home tab create a clone of an existing panel. Choose one mid way in your list. Now try to move that panel to the very top and bottom of the list using CTRL and the up/down arrows. You should see it will not move above the pa...

Re: Wiring a real C172 Ignition Switch

You just connect gnd to batt and start to an I/O line. It’s that simple. When not in start the line is pulled high by internal pull-up, when in start position the line is grounded. Remember this is only to tell AM and not for a real application. Pretty sure this is how we helped someone else do this...

Re: Wiring a real C172 Ignition Switch

Shouldn’t need to complicate it with power or resistors. I think just using gnd for the commons and utilising the built-in pull-ups for all 3 lines should work out fine. Adding extra external resistors will not harm though.

Re: x-plane dataref communication problem

Yes sometimes it’s a waste. However sometimes a FLOAT is used to indicate position. In this case it’s for a door and a door can be part way open, hence it’s not digital. They tend to be used for other similar things such as cowl flaps, speed brakes, choke etc.

Re: Wiring a real C172 Ignition Switch

That standard ignition switch code will not work with a real aircraft ignition switch for the reasons I stated towards the beginning of this thread. You can get it to work but as Ralph said you need to get your head round how the real switch functions. You should be able to make it work with just 3 ...

Re: Auto-Detect Input

Remember SI are a very small team. There are things that are not currently possible with AM, so my take is it’s better to develop these first. This self learning idea although interesting i think falls into the “adds polish” category. Meaning we can already add and use hardware so how AM is now does...

Re: c208

Hi,

You need to get creative with the datarefs that are there to get the functionality of the real aircraft. I’ve recently finished my c208 panels. Since this video was produced some instruments have been swapped out.

Re: Panel not resizing smaller - Bell 407

Yep I think that’s the issue. However there’s no point in having the re-scale features if they don’t work intuitively. It’s actually easier to delete the panel and add at a different size than it is to try to use scale.
