I was having the same problem on my Debian machine and was able to fix it by running the following: echo '1-1.6.1' > /sys/bus/usb/drivers/usb/unbind echo '1-1.6.1' > /sys/bus/usb/drivers/usb/bind My Knobster's device ID happens to be 1-1.6.1. You can find yours by running: dmesg | grep Knobster Note ...
