Chances are what you imported were likely a set of instruments, not panels. Instruments won't show up under Panels. They'll show up as being available under Instruments once you have an active panel that you want to import instruments into.

I used to use a pair of 15.6" Wimaxit screens as my primary displays. No issues with them. I've since replaced them with a pair of 22" Planar Helium screens, but still use the old 15.6" in my setup. . Also no issues whatsoever.
