Re: Help for Carenado Saab 340B instruments

One of the approaches I use with other aircraft is to read the XML gauge scripts and see how they get the value. Almost all aircraft and rotorcraft can be emulated this way. The only stumbling block is when the manufacturer uses a CAB file to store gauges. Be care in hunting for the XML files, coder...

Re: Screens position

I agree with the question being posted. Many times a month I have to go back into AM and reset what monitor a panel goes on and the dimensions of the panel or its x & y placement. I am using the latest v4, it is not a v4 issue. I have had to do this since using AM over two years ago. I am running mu...

Re: Sandel SN3500 HSI

Hi, I installed your instrument and it is a great start. I am showing some issues and don't mind at all providing them to you. But clogging up the forum with bug reports is bad. Let me know how to send you information.

Re: Helicopter sim with glass panel

A string pot is a multi-turn potentiometer where the shaft has a spring loaded string . You pull it out of the case and when doing that it rotates the shaft. It retracts under spring tension. If you go to Amazon and type in string potentiometer, you will see dozens for sale. Simple to use, just matc...

Re: Helicopter sim with glass panel

All flight controls are string pots read by a Leo Bodner card then input to P3d v5 via FSUIPC calibration.

All displays and Lua code for the Arduino cards are handled by Air Manager. All displays are custom.

Helicopter sim with glass panel

Here is a copilot view of the main instrument panel. This is a military helicopter for maritime anti submarine work. All three displays are Air Manager. The Garmin G5 is also Air Manager. THis is a major work in progress. Note - I am using AM 4.0 beta since I need to have joystick inputs along with ...

Re: Garmin G5 P3D and no bezel power up

The primary weapons instrumentation and control systems are from an actual Navy SH-2F Sea Sprite I purchased from the Navy several years ago. The glass cockpit derivation is a concept from the Navy (SH-2H) and my own creations. Unfortunately the FSX/P3D add-on SeaSprite helicopter was very poorly mo...

Re: Garmin G5 P3D and no bezel power up

BY the way - was just near you last year on vacation and visiting my good friends at Prosim. I'll be with my other Dutch friends next weekend. They have a home on the west side of the country. But they also have a home here in West Palm Beach, Florida. I'll be back in the Netherlands early next year...

Re: Garmin G5 P3D and no bezel power up

OMG - I have to thank you. Prior to your last post I went to the RealSImGear site and downloaded their installer and ran it as per your suggestion. Then miraculously, the G5 showed up on COM5. I then flashed it from within AM, and after just a little more playing around, it now is fully operational ...
