I now have new com2 and nav2 radios.

I think I answered my own question by going back to a 1.5 year old post on the subject.

I will be writing a simple LUA script for sending Xplane radio frequencies to a 7 segment display using an Arduino nano.

Am I to create this function as an instrument or hardware?
Whats the actual difference in the two and how is each supposed to be utilized ?
