Keith was very kind enough to write the LUA script for me.
I now have new com2 and nav2 radios.

Re: Instrument or Hardware
I think I answered my own question by going back to a 1.5 year old post on the subject.

Instrument or Hardware
I will be writing a simple LUA script for sending Xplane radio frequencies to a 7 segment display using an Arduino nano.
Am I to create this function as an instrument or hardware?
Whats the actual difference in the two and how is each supposed to be utilized ?

Re: Revisiting my year old radio build
The scripts in the radio instruments are complicated with code for swapping frequencies and activating encoders. Since I am not using freq. swapping and because the encoders I have connected through the Leobodnar boards are changing the freqencies in the sim, all I need the arduino and the air ...

Re: Revisiting my year old radio build
The hardware is connected now. I managed to figure out the arduino to the propwash 5 digit module connection. I remember now about the CSload, DIN, CLK, (selected arduino pins) and the GND, 5v on the display board. The Air Manager scripts will be the challenge for me now. It might be best for me to ...

Revisiting my year old radio build
Since 2020 I have been working on my Xplane PA28 home sim and finally have it built and working for the most part. Most of the switches and instruments are handled by 4 arduinos in conjunction with Air Manager and 3 Flight Illusion gauges running via Gstep. The other components like the yoke, rudder ...

Re: Adding 5th monitor with 2nd GPU
Keith,
I was just wondering what type of metal and thicknesses are typical for cockpit builds.

Re: Adding 5th monitor with 2nd GPU
....... Here's an example of my MIP. Please note the green area. This is a single 18.5 16:9 AR panel with PSU from a HP W1972a iirc. That does both DUs. That is what is normally used per side. On the right side of the image - which is the Pilot side - you can also see the mechanical chrono (a SISMO ...

Re: Adding 5th monitor with 2nd GPU
Thank you for that. I downloaded and installed the utility, but I don't know what I am looking at here... Part of the problem is that I only have (3) USB 3 ports and (2) USB 2 ports on my MB. I can't use the two USB 2 ports on the front of the PC. I need connections for (3) 7- port powered USB hubs ...
