Re: GI 275

Not even a Rabbit hole, I’d rather call it an endless Black Hole considering the number of functions of it.

Re: How to

Technically, the device you will be looking after is called a switch. Usually it has 4 or more ports and it’s purpose is to connect two or more computers on the same LAN creating a small network. The way it works is simply to « copy » whatever data it receives on one port onto all the others ports o...

Re: How to

Hi. As long as the two PCs are on the same network, the MSFS PC has the plug-in installed correctly, and Air Manager is setup on the Target PC, both computers will be able to communicate with each other, and Air Manager will interact with the Sim. The LAN part can be done via Wifi or even better wit...

Re: c208

Hmmm. I think that's the eternal problem: CARE-NADA, as I tend to call them. Nearly all the planes coming from this editor, though very pleasing to the eye, have problem with systems poorly or partly implemented, and, as a side effect few datarefs are published for any specific Addon from this compa...

Re: suggestions for engine control quadrant in pure AM

Yes, doing touchscreen, and I do expect to use the code to make it "jump" to the middle notch. I was more thinking about how I stop myself from just keeping on sliding passed the notch, and having to do it in 2 phases, like I imagine RL is with these controls. But IDK Even though I never piloted a ...

Re: suggestions for engine control quadrant in pure AM

Try this, it seems to achieve the effect that you're looking for: -- Background and text img_add("slider.png",-10, -12, 200,342) txt_add("OFF", "font: arimo_bold.ttf; size:20; color: white; halign:left;", 140, 30, 100, 200) txt_add("DIR", "font: arimo_bold.ttf; size:20; color: white; halign:left;", ...

Re: c208

You probably can find a workaround, and find a dataref that is similar, or states the current airplane state.

What is the real meaning of this blue LED on the C208?

Re: suggestions for engine control quadrant in pure AM

In fact this is not needed in that case, as here you’ll physically move the mouse quite a bit until the lever jumps to the next notch.

If you intend to use a touchscreen the feedback loop might be different, though.

Re: suggestions for engine control quadrant in pure AM

My suggestion is also to play with the slider position in your code to emulate the different lever notches. As the lever slider position is varying between 0 and 1.0, one has to include some test to make the image of the lever jump to the three positions allowed as follow: -- Background and text img...
