F-14 Tomcat

Here is my Akers Barnes modified pit to resemble an F-14 Tomcat. I have Air Manager running on a networked laptop driving a 23 inch monitor behind the panel. I also run two 7 inch HDMI monitors for the VDI and HSD. 2 Arduiono's, 1 Leonardo for common simulator functions that I use on all the aircraf...

Updating Air Manager

So I am still running 2.1.1 and am about to update to the current version. Do I need to uninstall the old version prior to updating or will it update the version that's installed on the machine?

Thanks,
Bill

Re: Engine Monitor Group and Fuel Quant Gauge

Ralph, I have downloaded a couple of different Altimeters with drums and am trying to cypher my way through them. I'm slowly getting it. I was able to apply it to the fuel quantity gauge. One issue that I am having is the speed of the readout change. For example the ones and tens spot move fairly qu...

Re: Engine Monitor Group and Fuel Quant Gauge

JackZ, no problem and I totally understand. I have downloaded many gauges trying to learn bits and pieces. I really appreciate all the help I have been getting so far and this forum is a great resource. I have been putting together the Fuel Quantity gauge and am stuck on adding the running text port...

Re: Engine Monitor Group and Fuel Quant Gauge

Ralph, that's the plan. I keep moving to the next paper section. The last two major gauges are the engine group and fuel quantity. I need to get these done before moving on.

Re: Engine Monitor Group and Fuel Quant Gauge

Here's another pic of the front panel. Attached are the left and right verticle panels. The prints are place holders for panels. You can kind of see the pit as it is now in the background. I have a gear lever, parking brake, nose strut extension and tailhook lever wired and functioning in the sim. h...

Engine Monitor Group and Fuel Quant Gauge

I am almost done with the gauges that I need on the front panel of my F-14 cockpit. With a lot of help and guidance from JackZ and Russ so far I have managed to put together the Verticle Speed Indicator, RMI and the Airspeed/Mach Indicator. That takes care of the round instruments. Two more instrume...

Re: Pioneer/Bendix Airspeed and Mach Indicator

Jack, I'm not sure what the issue was the first time but I tried the code you posted again and it appears to work like a charm! I haven't been able to test in the sim yet, just in the program. Thank you so much for your help!

Re: Pioneer/Bendix Airspeed and Mach Indicator

Ok, I may have found something. So I ran the print function and noticed that is was reading the correct mach but it was not rotating the dial. I then commented out the last line in the mach function "else Angle=0" and it appears to be working now. Except after M.99, then the mach dial stop...
